Cell-Cultured Octopus
Jan 2026 - May 2026
As part of a Graduate Consultant team, we worked on a capstone project focused on commercializing cell-cultured octopus as a sustainable and ethical seafood alternative. We conducted extensive primary and secondary market research to evaluate supply chain inefficiencies, environmental impact, and ethical concerns in traditional octopus sourcing. Our work included engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and conducting Voice of Customer (VoC) interviews to understand consumer perception, adoption barriers, and purchasing behavior. Based on these insights, we defined target customer segments, developed detailed customer archetypes, and mapped effective customer channels and relationships. We assessed Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Available Market (SAM), and target market opportunities to inform go-to-market strategy. Additionally, we designed a tailored product positioning, value proposition, and market entry strategy to address sustainability-driven demand while ensuring scalability and competitive differentiation.
