About The Company
SutureTech is a Durham-based medical device startup dedicated to revolutionizing soft tissue repair. Their flagship product, RapidFix, is currently in the pre-FDA approval stage and is designed to address common complications in tendon and ligament surgeries, such as re-tears and tissue damage. By focusing on precision, durability, and surgeon-friendly design, SutureTech aims to enhance surgical outcomes and improve patient recovery. With a strong foundation in clinical research and innovation, the company is positioning itself at the forefront of next-generation orthopedic solutions.

Internship Summary
As a Marketing and Business Development Intern at SutureTech, I was responsible for enhancing the company’s digital presence. My role involved creating, scheduling, and tracking strategic content; conducting market research to identify trends, analyzing competitors, and assessing customer preferences to support effective marketing strategies. I also engaged with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and Voice of Customers (VOCs) and contributed to refining product positioning and messaging. As part of my responsibilities, I organized a webinar targeted at surgeons, monitored analytics, and reported on digital engagement and growth. Additionally, I assisted the marketing team in planning and executing campaigns, managing community interactions, responding to surgeon inquiries, and preparing weekly or bi-weekly reports summarizing progress and outlining next steps.



Skills
During my internship, I gained hands-on experience in content creation, market research, social media engagement, data analytics, CRM management, SCRUM project coordination, competitive analysis, and email marketing. I also developed skills in digital campaign planning, performance tracking, keyword optimization, and audience targeting to enhance online visibility and engagement.
